Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and services provided by River Event Styling ("the Company", "we", "us", "our"). By placing an order, paying a deposit, or making any payment, the client ("you", "the booker") confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

 


 

1. General Terms

1.1 A booking is not confirmed until River Event Styling has received either:

  • a deposit, or

  • the full balance where the total order value is under £100.

Cash payments are not accepted.

1.2 By placing an order with us, it is deemed that the customer has read, understood, fully agreed to, and is bound by all Terms & Conditions. These are available on our website www.rivereventstyling.net and published on our social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook: River Event Styling).

1.3 River Event Styling cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control that may prevent us from attending or fulfilling your booking, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, traffic delays, vehicle breakdown, sickness, or equipment failure. In such cases, we will contact you or the venue as soon as reasonably possible. Our liability will be limited to a refund of monies paid.

 


 

2. Prices, Deposits & Balance Payments

2.1 All orders require a 50% deposit, of which 25% of the total order value is a non-refundable booking fee.

2.2 The remaining balance must be paid in full and cleared no later than 48 hours prior to the event start time, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2.3 Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in:

  • cancellation of the booking without refund, and/or

  • non-attendance or non-setup at the event.

2.4 Any changes requested by the client prior to the event are subject to availability and at the discretion of River Event Styling. Any price differences resulting from approved changes must be paid immediately.

2.5 Advertised prices are subject to change without prior notice.

2.6 River Event Styling reserves the right to charge late payment fees on overdue balances. Payments not received by the invoice due date will incur a late fee of £10 per day, starting from the day after the due date, or interest at 2% above our banker’s current interest rate, whichever is greater.

2.7 Free delivery is offered within a 5-mile radius of DA1 5GE. Additional mileage is charged at:

  • £2.00 per mile (van delivery)

 


 

3. Cancellations

3.1 Any cancelled order is subject to the following cancellation charges:

  • Less than 14 days before the event: 50% of order value

  • Less than 7 days before the event: 75% of order value

  • Less than 72 hours before the event: 100% of order value

These charges include the 25% non-refundable booking fee.

3.2 Refunds will be processed within 2–5 working days.

3.3 Alternatively, customers may opt to receive a credit note valid for 6 months from the date of issue.

 


 

4. Goods & Property

4.1 The Company reserves the right to substitute hired items with items of a similar type and value in the event of loss or damage to the originally booked equipment.

4.2 All sizes and descriptions are approximate.

4.3 All goods remain the property of River Event Styling at all times.

4.4 The Company reserves the right to amend or alter product specifications without prior notice.

 


 

5. Site Location, Facilities & Conduct

5.1 Equipment will be set up only in the agreed location and must not be moved, dismantled, or altered once installed. Equipment must not be handled by the client, guests, venue staff, or third parties.

5.2 The client must ensure permission has been obtained from the venue for the use of electrical equipment.

5.3 The client must inform us in advance of any circumstances that may affect setup, including stairs, restricted access, or long distances from unloading areas. Setup time is allocated within the quoted price.

5.4 The client is responsible for ensuring suitable security and crowd control during the event.

5.5 We reserve the right to remove equipment and cease services if conduct at the event places guests, staff, or equipment at risk. In such cases, no refund will be given and full contracted fees remain payable.

 


 

6. Liability & Insurance

6.1 The client accepts full responsibility for all hired equipment from the time of setup until collection, including damage, loss, or theft.

6.2 River Event Styling accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from misuse of hired equipment by the client or third parties.

 


 

7. Photography & Marketing

7.1 River Event Styling may use photographs or videos taken at events for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the event.

 


 

8. Re-Booking

8.1 We will make reasonable efforts to rebook your event to an alternative available date. Each booking may only be rescheduled once. Additional date changes will incur an administration fee.

 


 

9. Damage, Loss & Replacement Charges

9.1 The booker is fully responsible for any damage, loss, theft, or excessive soiling of items while in their care. This includes damage caused by guests, children, venue staff, weather conditions, or misuse (including intentional balloon popping).

9.2 Any damaged or missing items will be charged at full repair or replacement cost, including labour and administrative fees.

9.3 An invoice for damages will be issued following the event and must be paid within 7 days. Late payment fees as outlined in Section 2 will apply.

 


 

10. Final Agreement

10.1 By booking with River Event Styling, you confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full.
